Exhibition in “Two Arcs” artspace, Yerevan, 2022, December

In this project Vanya performs in a new genre, exhibiting a series of landscape works, that are executed in an author’s technique of declining photography corrections — pictures from camera are being transferred on paper, bypassing photo editing processes, at the same time attaining figurative texture.

The photographer is sharpening the excellence of landscape photography, replacing familiar portraits with scenery, switching from complicated studio lighting schemes and conversation with models to a dialogue with the landscape.

The search of combinations of angles, light, colors, texture, composition and attitude is taking the leading role in the surrounding familiar world, when urbanistic landscape, architectural elements and his own perception of moment, when are connected together, fixate an unacquainted reality for a spectator
